Email Management

State agencies and local governments use email daily to communicate, administer, and transact public business. The result is often copious amounts of emails. Most emails are transitory messages that governments can delete after they no longer need them. However, others may be records governments must retain to fulfill retention requirements.

The key to managing email is understanding how it is used in your organization and creating policies for use and management.
